Portfolio areas
The departments, portfolios or product lines objectives are filed under. They
drive the By area grouping and the area filter. Areas are
shared by the whole team, so only a team admin can change them — an objective
whose area is deleted becomes Unassigned rather than being
deleted with it.
Areas
Portfolio time periods
Every objective lives in one quarter. The current one is created automatically;
add the next before planning starts so objectives have somewhere to go. Team
admins only, since quarters are shared.

What this page opens on
Yours alone, saved with your account, so the page opens the same way on any
computer. It does not change what anyone else sees. These decide how the
page OPENS — anything you change on the board itself lasts until you sign
out.
Open on the Overview
Start on the portfolio dashboard rather than the objectives list.
Open in Kanban
Start on the area columns rather than the objectives
list. You can still switch while you work; the page opens here.
Group by area
Group the objectives list by portfolio area instead of by health.
Expand objectives automatically
Show key results without having to open each objective first.
Kanban items per column
How many objectives each portfolio area shows before it
offers “View all”. Between 3 and 20; the rest are one press away.
Health signal
Signal settings define the thresholds that decide whether work reads as behind,
slightly behind, on track, ahead, complete or not started. Each band is a number
of calendar days adrift of the quarter clock. Teams manage progress differently,
so these are set per team and are yours alone — changing them
here does not change what anyone else sees.
Change owners in bulk
Moving five or ten objectives to a new owner one at a time is the job this
replaces. Tick the objectives, choose the person, and optionally move their key
results with them. It acts on the objectives currently in view,
so narrow the board first if you want a shorter list.
Each objective is written on its own and carries its own version, so an objective
somebody else edited while this ran is refused rather than overwritten
and reported in the count. Nothing else about an objective is changed — not its
area, its quarter, its measures or their values.
